Can a smart enigineer give me some ideas on building a walking/talking robot for an engineering scholarship?
I haven’t applied for a single scholarship yet for the fall semester, so obviously I haven’t won any yet either. Gawd, if I don’t get some kind of scholarship I won’t be able to afford my weekly manicures and tanning sessions. So, I went online and found an awesome scholarship for engineers to build a walking/talking robot. If I win, it could pay my entire semester of classes! So far I have 2 cardboard boxes glued on top of each other. I’m going to use an old roller skate glued to the bottom box with a pull string so the robot can “walk” but how can I get the robot to talk? I was going to use a voice box from my lil sister’s doll but it doesn’t talk actually, just crys. Does anyone have any good ideas for building a robot? Like, what kind of face should I draw on the box and stuff? Oh, and can glitter be used on a robot? The scholarship didn’t say anything about glitter. Thanks everyone and sorry for making fun of you in high school. Geeks are super hawt and cool and stuff. yeah.
If the fumes from all your manicures haven’t liquefied your brain yet I could suggest a parallax controller from radio-shack. Once you have your controller give the manual a good read so you can try and learn the programing and scavenge some little DC motors (RC car works fine) and some other crap to be your outputs.
You could always conjure Satan up to posses your robot and do some crazy @$$ shittt.
Better yet go steal a Bentley and scavenge the voice command thingy and plug it into a plush bear on roller blades and say: “Bear kill”
Nah… go with the first one. (Stealing a Bentley would definitely disqualify you from any scholarship and this time of year Satan must be having a very tough one at Washington)
