Car Drawing Teaching
Funny Kid Raising Stories Anyone?
An artist and having a 3 year old I taught her to draw with markers on white typing paper. My instructions were: change colors often and fill the whole page–no white spaces left.
I came home from work and my wife was in the kitchen cookin. I was drawing with my daughter on the living room floor… I was so exhausted I fell asleep. I vaguely remember her sitting on my chest and playing with my face… I thought that I was keeping and eye on her.
My wife yelled from the kitchen, “Jay can you go to the 7-11 and pick up a gallon of milk and loaf of bread?!”
I jumped to my feet and off I went… “I’ll be right back…”
Still half asleep I fired up the car… the 7-11 only about a block away. I pulled up and walked in and anothe customer walking out gave me a crazy look. I thought I might have a booger hanging out of my nose… nope. Lots of strange looks later I got out to the car and looked in the mirror.
My face was covered ear to ear with all the colors.
A friend of mine was babysitting other children so she could stay home with her son. I was at her house visiting with my newborn daughter. There was a very cute little brother and sister that she was watching that day.
I was nursing my daughter and the little boy was watching me intently. Assuming that he must have been a bottle fed baby I said “The baby is eating. Did you and your sister eat from bottles when you were little?”
The little boy said, “We ate from Mommy’s bottles, she has REALLY BIG bottles!”
